About the Program


IRB Services has partnered with the Summerhill Carbon (formerly the Carbon Reduction Fund) and has committed to purchase 1-2 tons of CO2 offsets (dependent on complexity of project) for every project submitted through our RED online submission system.  This in combination with the drastic reduction of materials and handling necessary to process e-submissions vs. traditional paper submissions, will directly impact the carbon footprint we effectively make together in the research community.  Alternatively, for those not wishing to use our online system, clients may purchase carbon offsets on a per project basis when submitted through traditional paper (Please contact our submissions team for more information on purchasing carbon offsets for your traditionally submitted project.)


Summerhill Carbon is a non-profit project developer and provider of high quality carbon offsets to a select group of organizations taking concrete action on climate change.  The fund also provides advice to a wide range of public and private organizations on greenhouse gas reduction strategies and programs.  The Fund works with progressive organizations like Groupe Aeroplan, Vespa, Grand & Toy, Home Depot Canada and IRB Services.
